NP-SB/S SBus FDDI Fiber Interface connects SBus class machines to 100-Mbps FDDI local area networks (LANs). Connecting SBus-based workstationsto an FDDI network delivers extraordinary network and system performanceto workstation users.NP-SB/S SBus FDDI Fiber Interface implements a Single Attach Station(SAS) interface for connection to a concentrator. It utilizes FDDIstandard MIC fiber optic connectors. The interface is fully compliantwith the ANSI X3T9.5 FDDI standard.FDDI Station Management (SMT) is provided. An imbedded processorimplements FDDI Connection Management (CMT), relieving the host ofrealtime requirements.
